Las Vegas, US, 9 January 2024 – Today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Amazon and AI music company Splash have revolutionized music creation by launching an AI-powered music creation experience that enhances how people connect with music in their daily lives. The collaboration enables users to create and share custom songs using their voice through the new Splash Music Alexa Skill
on compatible Alexa-enabled devices, making music creation an accessible and interactive experience.
By leveraging the convenience and ubiquity of Echo devices, this collaboration allows anyone to enjoy the magic of creating a song they love, for the moments that matter most, helping to deepen connections between family, friends and audiences. Users can personalize their songs, including genre, lyrics and vocalists, via voice commands, and conveniently send them to their mobile phones to download or share, all through a compatible Echo device.
An Alexa Fund portfolio company, Splash is committed to making music creation easy, fun, and accessible to everyone. Splash is transforming how people interact with music online and with this new Alexa Skill, music creation is no longer a passive experience.
Richard Slatter, Chief Product Officer at Splash, said: "Through our collaboration with Amazon, we're crafting a new way for people to express themselves and connect with others through music. Our goal is to democratize music creation, and this marks a hugely exciting step in that journey."
“We’re excited that Splash is using our new tools to incorporate voice capabilities to its AI powered music creation technology,” said Mark Yoshitake, General Manager and Director of Alexa Skills at Amazon. “Splash is fostering a new breed of musicians by harnessing the power of AI, and we’re proud to collaborate with them to enable even more ways for music to be created through voice.”
